iCEE wins CleanTech Forum!

Upon completion of national level GCIP in Malaysia, ICEE International along with two others, attended the Cleantech Open Global Forum and Cleantech Week at San Francisco, USA.  At the Forum, an overall Global Champion and 4 Global Category Champions emerged.  ICEE International was the proud winner of the Green Building category.

ICEE presented their unique patented algorithms that work with sensors (IoT) and optimize the building temperature to achieve ideal temperature in a building and in doing so can save up to 30% of the energy consumption.  ICEE showed its ability to automate and dynamically monitor changes in conditions in order to be able to react to specific needs of each individual building.

The Global Cleantech Innovation Programme is a joint initiative of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in partnership with the Cleantech Open.  The GCIP takes a competition and accelerator approach to select the best cleantech entrepreneurs across six countries and support them to develop their innovative technologies into full-fledged market-ready products.

National Winners of each country are selected from all companies participating across the GCIP accelerators in Armenia, India, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, South Africa, Turkey and Singapore, who then compete at the Cleantech Open Global Forum and Cleantech Week for Global Overall and Global Category Championship in San Francisco, USA.  This event attracts major corporations looking at adopting innovation and committed to Sustainability solutions. The 2016/7 year it finals were held from Feb 6 to 10, 2017.

GCIP brings together the world’s largest accelerator for cleantech startups with resources in developing countries. By enhancing emerging cleantech startups and bolstering the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and policy framework, the programme delivers both environmental benefits and economic vitality.  Selected startups in each country participate in a rigorous and competitive national acceleration programme that trains, mentors, promotes, and connects them to potential investors, customers and partners
